In vitro
Olanexidine exhibits a bactericidal concentration of 109 μg/mL for Gram-positive bacilli. Olanexidine interacts with the bacterial surface molecules, disrupts the cell membranes of liposomes and enhances the membrane permeability of Escherichia coli[1].
