Description
(-)-Apomorphine hydrochloride hydrate is a broad-spectrum dopamine agonist and ferroptosis inhibitor with affinity for all subtypes of dopamine D1 receptors of the D5 receptor. (-)-Apomorphine hydrochloride hydrate can be used to study mitochondrial diseases.
In vitro
(-)-Apomorphine hydrochloride hydrate prevented ferroptosis in fibroblasts from various types of mitochondrial diseases as well as in normal controls. (-)-Apomorphine hydrochloride hydrate induced significant downregulation of PTSG2 and suppressed lipid peroxide to the same extent as other inhibitors of ferroptosis also indicate that (-)-Apomorphine hydrochloride hydrate suppresses ferroptosis.
