Description
Alvespimycin (17-DMAG) is a potent Hsp90 inhibitor with potential anticancer activity, which acts by binding to Hsp90.
In vitro
After treatment with vehicle control or 1 μM Alvespimycin (17-DMAG) for 24 hours, CLL patient cells showed that Alvespimycin downregulated NF-κB signaling through IKKα and IKKβ[2].
In vivo
Treatment with vehicle (DMSO) or Alvespimycin(17-DMAG)(10 mg/kg) significantly prolonged the survival time of TCL1-SCID model mice[2].
