Description | Isoliquiritigenin (ISL), an anti-tumor flavonoid from the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra, suppresses aldose reductase (IC50=320 nM). |
Targets&IC50 | Aldose reductase:320 nM |
In vitro | In the murine oral administration test, the LD50 of Isoliquiritigenin is greater than 6 g/kg. |
In vivo | Isoliquiritigenin induces cell cycle arrest and inhibits cell growth in DU145 and LNCaP cell lines. In human gastric cancer MGC-803 cells, isoliquiritigenin triggers apoptosis by elevating intracellular free calcium ion concentrations and decreasing mitochondrial membrane potential (Δψ(m)). |
