Description
PU 23 is an inhibitor of multidrug-resistant protein 4 (MRP4).
In vitro
6-Mercaptopurine (6-MP) inhibits HEK293 and HEK293/MRP4 cells with IC50s of 2.81 and 14.11 μM, respectively. Combined with PU23, 6-MP inhibits these cells with IC50s of 1.84 and 6.06 μM. Preincubation of HEK293/MRP4 cells with PU 23 (50 μM) for 2 hours significantly increases the intracellular concentration of 6-MP [1].
