Description | Sulfabenzamide (N-Sulfanilylbenzamide) is a sulfonamide antibacterial agent used alone or with sulfathiazole and sulfacetamide as a topical, intravaginal antibacterial preparation. |
In vitro | Sulfabenzamide inhibits the proliferation and increases Caspase-3 activity in T-47D cells. It dose not induce apoptosis but a minimal shift from G1 to S and G2/M phases of the cell cycle[1]. |
Cell Research | The MTT assay is used to evaluate the viability of T-47D cells incubated with different concentrations of sulfabenzamide (0.0-20 mM) or doxorubicin (0.0-0.6 μM) after 24, 48 and 72 h.(Only for Reference) |
