Description | p-MPPF dihydrochloride is a selective 5-HT antagonist that dose-dependently antagonizes hypothermia induced by 8-hydroxy-2-(di-n-propylamino)tetralin (8-OH-DPAT) and can be used to study neurological diseases. |
In vitro | The 5-HT(1A) receptor agonist 8-hydroxy-N,N-dipropionylaminotetralin (8-OH-DPAT) dose- and time-dependently reduced the basal levels of phosphorylated Erk1/2 (phospho-Erk1/2) in the rat hippocampus without changing total Erk/2, and pretreatment with p-MPPF dihydrochloride blocked the effects of 8-OH-DPAT.
