Interferon alpha 10/IFNA10 Protein, Human, Recombinant (hFc)
TMPY-02516
Interferon alpha-10 (IFNA10) is a member of the interferon family. Interferons belong to the group of the regulatory glycoproteins, of low molecular mass. They are the products of infected cell-genome, but not virus, as a consequence of the cause answer by different inductors. Interferon stimulates the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase. They allow communication between cells to trigger the protective defenses of the immune system that eradicate pathogens or tumors. IFNs have other functions: they activate immune cells, such as natural killer cells and macrophages; they increase recognition of infection or tumor cells by up-regulating antigen presentation to T lymphocytes, and they increase the ability of uninfected host cells to resist new infection by the virus. Certain host symptoms, such as aching muscles and fever, are related to the production of IFNs during infection. Human IFNs are divided on the sequence of amino-acids into three groups: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma interferons.

LRP-5 Protein, Human, Recombinant (hFc)
TMPK-00739
A role for low-density lipoprotein-related receptor 5 (LRP5) in human bone was first established by the identification of genetic alterations that led to dramatic changes in bone mass. Shortly thereafter, mutations that altered the function of the sclerostin (SOST) gene were also associated with altered human bone mass. Subsequent studies of LRP5 and sclerostin have provided important insights into the mechanisms by which these proteins regulate skeletal homeostasis. LRP-5 Protein, Human, Recombinant (hFc) is expressed in HEK293 mammalian cells with C-hFc tag. The predicted molecular weight is 96.51 kDa and the accession number is O75197-1.

Cystatin A Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-02077
Cystatin-A, also known as Cystatin-AS, Stefin-A and CSTA, is a cytoplasm protein which belongs to thecystatin family. Cystatin-A / CSTA is a cysteine proteinase inhibitor with a molecular mass of 11 kDa, and is located mainly in the keratohyaline granules of the stratum granulosum and the cornified envelope of the stratum corneum in the epidermis. The cystatins are a family of cysteine protease inhibitors with homology to chicken cystatin. Cystatins are physiological inhibitors of cysteine proteinases which are widely distributed in human tissues and fluids. Cystatins typically comprise about 115 amino acids, are largely acidic, contain four conserved cysteine residues known to form two disulfide bonds. Cystatins may be glycosylated and / or phosphorylated, with similarity to fetuins, kininogens, stefins, histidine-rich glycoproteins and cystatin-related proteins. Some of the members are active cysteine protease inhibitors, while others have lost or perhaps never acquired inhibitory activity. Cystatins mainly inhibit peptidases belonging to peptidase families C1 (papain family) and C13 (legumain family).

GDF-8 Protein, Mouse, Recombinant (hFc)
TMPY-04534
GDF-8 / Myostatin / MSTN is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily. This group of proteins is characterized by a polybasic proteolytic processing site which is cleaved to produce a mature protein containing seven conserved cysteine residues. The members of this family are regulators of cell growth and differentiation in both embryonic and adult tissues. GDF-8 / Myostatin / MSTN is highly expressed in skeletal muscle, and myostatin loss-of-function leads to doubling of skeletal muscle mass. Experiments in mice have improved that GDF-8 / Myostatin / MSTN is a key regulator of mesenchymal stem cell proliferation and differentiation, and mice lacking Myostatin encoding gene show decreased body fat and a generalized increase in bone density and strength. The increase in bone density is observed in most anatomical regions, including the limbs, spine, and jaw, and myostatin inhibitors have been observed to significantly increase bone formation. GDF-8 / Myostatin / MSTN is also expressed in the early phases of fracture healing, and GDF-8 / Myostatin / MSTN deficiency leads to increased fracture callus size and strength. Together, these data suggest that GDF-8 / Myostatin / MSTN has direct effects on the proliferation and differentiation of osteoprogenitor cells and that GDF-8/Myostatin/MSTN antagonists and inhibitors are likely to enhance both muscle mass and bone strength.

INHBE Protein, Human, Recombinant (hFc)
TMPY-05029
INHBE (Inhibin Subunit Beta E) is a Protein Coding gene. This gene encodes a member of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate an inhibin beta subunit. INHBE was identified as a novel putative hepatokine with hepatic gene expression that positively correlated with insulin resistance and body mass index in humans. The quantitative real time-PCR analysis also showed an increase in INHBE gene expression in independent liver samples from insulin-resistant human subjects. INHBE functions as a possible hepatokine to alter the whole-body metabolic status under obese insulin-resistant conditions. Diseases associated with INHBE include Brachydactyly, Type A2, and Liver Benign Neoplasm.

DOT1L Protein, Human, Recombinant
TMPY-01708
Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase, H3 lysine-79 specific, also known as Histone H3-K79 methyltransferase, DOT1-like protein, Lysine N-methyltransferase 4 and DOT1L, is a nucleus protein which belongs to theDOT1 family. In contrast to other lysine histone methyltransferase, DOT1L does not contain a SET domain, suggesting the existence of another mechanism for methylation of lysine residues of histones. DOT1L is an histone methyltransferase. It methylates 'Lys-79' of histone H3. Nucleosomes are preferred as substrate compared to free histones. DOT1L binds to DNA. Methylation of lysine 79 on histone H3 (H3K79) is mediated by DOT1L. It is involved in the regulation of telomeric silencing, development, cell cycle checkpoint and transcription. Mass spectrometry of the DOT1L-containing complex revealed that AF9, ENL and NPM1 were shown to be major DOT1L-interacting proteins. DOT1L might control AF9- and ENL-mediated transcription, regulate RNA processing, and function as a histone chaperone in a NPM1-dependent manner.

TXNL4B Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-02723
Dim2, also known as TXNL4B, is a member of the DIM1 family. The Dim protein family is composed of two classes, Dim1and Dim2, which share a common thioredoxin-like fold. They were originally identified for their role in cell cycle progression and have been found to interact with Prp6, an essential component of the spliceosome, which forms the bridge of U4/U6.U5-tri-snRNP. Despite their biological and structural similarities, Dim1 and Dim2 proteins differ in many aspects. Dim1 bears distinctive structural motifs responsible for its interaction with other spliceosome components. Dim2 forms homodimers and contains specific domains required for its interactions with partners. This originality suggests that although both proteins are involved in pre-mRNA splicing, they are likely to be involved in different biological pathways. Dim2 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 185 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21.1kDa. It is fused to a 36 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Dim2 has a vital role in pro-mRNA splicing. Dim2 is required in cell cycle progression for S/G2 transition and interacts with PRPF6 subunit of the spliceosome.

ANGPTL8 Protein, Human, Recombinant (hFc)
TMPJ-01196
The protein specifically promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation and beta cell mass expansion, thereby improving glucose tolerance. It promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation without insulin resistance. Also it acts as a blood lipid regulator by regulating serum triglyceride levels and possibly by promoting ANGPTL3 cleavage. It interacts with ANGPTL3. It predominantly expressed in liver and also expressed in adipose tissues. The ability of the protein to induce pancreatic beta cell proliferation is promising in diabetes therapy. Betatrophin treatment could supply or replace insulin injections by increasing the number of insulin-producing cells in diabetes.

p53R2 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-02527
Ribonucleoside reductase subunit M2B, also known as RRM2B or p53R2, is an enzyme belonging to the iron-dependent ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) enzyme family which is essential for DNA synthesis. Ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) is an enzyme that catalyzes the formation of deoxyribonucleotides from ribonucleotides and plays a critical role in regulating the total rate of DNA synthesis so that DNA to cell mass is maintained at a constant ratio during cell division and DNA repair. RRM2B is a phosphorylated protein. It is hypothesized that RRM2B activity can be regulated at the posttranslational level in response to DNA damage. RRM2B has previously been shown to be essential for the maintenance of mtDNA copy number and its candidacy for tumor suppression has been evaluated in several mutational analyses of different cancer types. However, the contribution of RRM2B to the DNA damage response has been questioned because its transcriptional induction upon DNA damage is not rapid enough for prompt DNA repair. Instead, ATM-mediated phosphorylation has been suggested to regulate the DNA repair activity of RRM2B posttranslationally. Besides, a defect in RRM2B can induce a mild muscle disease of adult onset through disturbance of mitochondrial homeostasis but that this defect does not appear to be oncogenic.

CAN F 4 Protein, Canine, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-05438
Dog dander is an important cause of respiratory allergy but its content of allergenic components is still incompletely known. The size and the amino acid composition of the ligand-binding pocket indicate that Can f 4 is capable of binding only relatively small hydrophobic molecules which are different from those that Can f 2 is able to bind. The crystal structure of Can f 4 contained both monomeric and dimeric forms of the allergen, suggesting that Can f 4 is able to form transient (weak) dimers. The existence of transient dimers in solution was confirmed by use of native mass spectrometry. The dimeric structure of Can f 4 is formed when the ends of four β-strands are packed against the same strands from the second monomer.
