GLB1 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPJ-00869
β Galactosidase is a lysosomal β Galactosidase that hydrolyzes the terminal β Galactose from Ganglioside and Keratan sulfate. In lysosome, the mature β Galactosidase protein associates with Cathepsin A and Neuraminidase 1 to form the lysosomal multienzyme complex . An alternative splicing at the RNA level of β Galactosidase results a catalytically inactive β Galactosidase that plays an important role in vascular development. Defects of β-galactosidase (GLB1) are the cause of diseases like GM1-gangliosidosis which is a lysosomal storage disease and Morquio Syndrome B that cause patients to have abnormal elastic fibers. More than 100 mutations have been identified for β Galactosidase, which result in different residual activities of the mutant enzymes and a spectrum of symptoms in the two related diseases.

MMP-9 Protein, Mouse, Recombinant (His)
TMPJ-00957
Matrix metalloproteinases are a family of zinc and calcium dependent endopeptidases with the combined ability to degrade all the components of the extracellular matrix. MMP-9 (gelatinase B) can degrade a broad range of substrates including gelatin, collagen types IV and V, elastin and proteoglycan core protein. It is believed to act synergistically with interstitial collagenase (MMP1) in the degradation of fibrillar collagens as it degrades their denatured gelatin forms. MMP-9 is produced by keratinocytes, monocytes, macrophages and PMN leukocytes. MMP-9 is present in most cases of inflammatory responses. Structurally, MMP-9 may be divided into five distinct domains: a prodomain which is cleaved upon activation, a gelatinbinding domain consisting of three contiguous fibronectin type II units, a catalytic domain containing the zinc binding site, a prolinerich linker region, and a carboxyl terminal hemopexinlike domain.

Staphopain B Protein, S. aureus, Recombinant (GST)
TMPH-03577
Cysteine protease that plays an important role in the inhibition of host innate immune response. Degrades host elastin, fibrogen, fibronectin and kininogen. Blocks phagocytosis of opsonised S. aureus by neutrophils and monocytes by inducing their death in a proteolytic activity-dependent manner. Decreases surface expression of the 'don't eat me' signal CD31 on neutrophils. Cleaves host galectin-3/LGALS3, thereby inhibiting the neutrophil-activating ability of the lectin. Staphopain B Protein, S. aureus, Recombinant (GST) is expressed in E. coli expression system with N-GST tag. The predicted molecular weight is 46.9 kDa and the accession number is Q99V46.

LOXL2 Protein, Mouse, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-00203
Lysyl oxidase homolog 2, also known as Lysyl oxidase-like protein 2, Lysyl oxidase-related protein 2, Lysyl oxidase-related protein WS9-14 and LOXL2, is a secreted protein that belongs to the lysyl oxidase family. LOXL2 contains four SRCR domains. The lysyl oxidase family is made up of five members: lysyl oxidase (LOX) and lysyl oxidase-like 1-4 ( LOXL1, LOXL2, LOXL3, LOXL4 ). All members share conserved C-terminal catalytic domains that provide for lysyl oxidase or lysyl oxidase-like enzyme activity; and more divergent propeptide regions. LOX family enzyme activities catalyze the final enzymatic conversion required for the formation of normal biosynthetic collagen and elastin cross-links. LOXL2 is expressed by pre-hypertrophic and hypertrophic chondrocytes in vivo, and that LOXL2 expression is regulated in vitro as a function of chondrocyte differentiation. LOXL2 promotes chondrocyte differentiation by mechanisms that are likely to include roles as both a regulator and an effector of chondrocyte differentiation. LOXL2 expression could also be explored as a molecular target in the prevention of breast cancer progression.

MMP-3 Protein, Human, Recombinant
TMPY-02689
Matrix metallopeptidase 3 (abbreviated as MMP3) is also known as stromelysin 1 and progelatinase. MMP3 is a member of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family whose members are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, tissue remodeling, and disease processes including arthritis and metastasis. As a secreted zinc-dependent endopeptidase, MMP3 exerts its functions mainly in the extracellular matrix. This protein is activated by two major endogenous inhibitors: alpha2-macroglobulin and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteases (TIMPs). MMP3 plays a central role in degrading collagen types II, III, IV, IX, and X, proteoglycans, fibronectin, laminin, and elastin. Also, MMP3 can active other MMPs such as MMP1, MMP7, and MMP9, rendering MMP3 crucial in connective tissue remodeling. Dysregulation of MMPs has been implicated in many diseases including arthritis, chronic ulcers, encephalomyelitis, and cancer. Synthetic or natural inhibitors of MMPs result in inhibition of metastasis, while up-regulation of MMPs led to enhanced cancer cell invasion.

MMP-3 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPJ-00447
MMP3 is a member of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family whose members are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, tissue remodeling, and disease processes including arthritis and metastasis. The MMP-3 enzyme degrades collagen types II, III, IV, IX, and X, proteoglycans, fibronectin, laminin, and elastin. In addition, MMP-3 can also activate other MMPs such as MMP-1, MMP-7, and MMP-9, rendering MMP-3 crucial in connective tissue remodeling.[3] The enzyme is thought to be involved in wound repair, progression of atherosclerosis, and tumor initiation.

MFAP5 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-03052
MFAP5 (Microfibril Associated Protein 5, also known as MAGP2) is a Protein Coding gene. MFAP5 is a component of the elastin-associated microfibrils. It belongs to the MFAP family. As a 25-kD microfibril-associated glycoprotein, MFAP5 is rich in serine and threonine residues. It stimulates the assembly of elastic fibers, a complex structure composed of a tropoelastin inner core and microfibril outer mantle comprising proteins such as fibrillins and microfibril-associated glycoproteins that guide tropoelastin deposition. MFAP5 also stabilizes type 1 procollagen and thus plays an important role in extracellular matrix homeostasis. It has multiple binding regions on fibrillins and has a covalent periodic association with fibrillin-containing microfibrils. Diseases associated with MFAP5 include Aortic Aneurysm, Familial Thoracic 9, and Familial Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm And Aortic Dissection.
