REV-ERB

REV-ERB proteins (REV-ERBα and REV-ERBβ) are members of the nuclear receptor superfamily and play a critical role in regulating circadian rhythms, metabolism, and inflammation. Acting as transcriptional repressors, REV-ERBs regulate the expression of core clock genes like BMAL1, maintaining the circadian feedback loop. They also control metabolic pathways, including lipid metabolism, cholesterol synthesis, and glucose homeostasis, by modulating gene expression. Additionally, REV-ERBs influence immune responses and inflammatory signaling.
