Kallikrein 4/KLK4 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-01900
Kallikrein-4, also known as Enamel matrix serine proteinase 1, Kallikrein-like protein 1, KLK-L1, Serine protease 17, KLK4, PRSS17, and EMSP1, is a secreted protein that belongs to the peptidase S1 family and Kallikrein subfamily. Kallikrein-4 / KLK4 is a serine protease expressed during enamel maturation, and proteolytic processing of the enamel matrix by KLK4 is critical for proper enamel formation. Kallikrein-4 / KLK4 contains one peptidase S1 domain. Kallikrein-4 / KLK4 is secreted by transition- and maturation-stage ameloblasts. KLK4 aggressively degrades the retained organic matrix following the termination of enamel protein secretion. Two proteases are secreted into the enamel matrix of developing teeth. The early protease is enamelysin (MMP-2). The late protease is kallikrein 4 (KLK4). The principal functions of MMP-2 and KLK4 in dental enamel formation are to facilitate the orderly replacement of organic matrix with mineral, generating an enamel layer that is harder, less porous, and unstained by retained enamel proteins. Defects in Kallikrein-4 / KLK4 are the cause of Amelogenesis Imperfecta Hypomaturation type 2A1 (AI2A1) which is an autosomal recessive defect of enamel formation. The disorder involves both primary and secondary dentitions.

DPP4/CD26 Protein, Rat, Recombinant (His & SUMO)
TMPH-03279
Cell surface glycoprotein receptor involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated T-cell activation. Acts as a positive regulator of T-cell coactivation, by binding at least ADA, CAV1, IGF2R, and PTPRC. Its binding to CAV1 and CARD11 induces T-cell proliferation and NF-kappa-B activation in a T-cell receptor/CD3-dependent manner. Its interaction with ADA also regulates lymphocyte-epithelial cell adhesion. In association with FAP is involved in the pericellular proteolysis of the extracellular matrix (ECM), the migration and invasion of endothelial cells into the ECM. May be involved in the promotion of lymphatic endothelial cells adhesion, migration and tube formation. When overexpressed, enhanced cell proliferation, a process inhibited by GPC3. Acts also as a serine exopeptidase with a dipeptidyl peptidase activity that regulates various physiological processes by cleaving peptides in the circulation, including many chemokines, mitogenic growth factors, neuropeptides and peptide hormones. Removes N-terminal dipeptides sequentially from polypeptides having unsubstituted N-termini provided that the penultimate residue is proline.

Serpin E2 Protein, Mouse, Recombinant (His)
TMPJ-01083
Serpin E2 is a member of the Serpin superfamily. It is differentially expressed during neuronal differentiation and is able to transform human embryonic kidney cells into neuronlike cells. Its over-expression in mice leads to progressive neuronal and motor dysfunction in these animals. It is also over-expressed in the majority of pancreatic carcinoma as well as gastric and colorectal cancer samples whereas it is weakly expressed in all normal pancreas and chronic pancreatitis tissue samples. Serpin E2 is a potent inhibitor of thrombin, trypsin, urokinase, plasmin and plasminogen activators. It plays an important role in controlling male fertility because its knockout male mice show a marked impairment in fertility from the onset of sexual maturity and its abnormal expression is found in the semen of men with seminal dysfunction.

HGF Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPJ-00375
HGF, is a pleiotropic protein in the Plasminogen subfamily of S1 peptidases and contains 4 kringle domains, 1 PAN domain and 1 peptidase S1 domain. HGF is secreted as an inactive 728 amino acid (aa) single chain propeptide. It is cleaved after the fourth Kringle domain by a serine protease to form bioactive disulfide-linked HGF with a 60 kDa alpha and 30 kDa beta chain. HGF binds heparan-sulfate proteoglycans and the widely expressed receptor tyrosine kinase, HGF R/c-MET. HGF regulates epithelial morphogenesis by inducing cell scattering and branching tubulogenesis. It can also alter epithelium morphology by the induction of nectin-1 alpha ectodomain shedding, an adhesion protein component of adherens junctions. HGF regulates cell growth, cell motility, and morphogenesis by activating a tyrosine kinase signaling cascade after binding to the proto oncogenic c-Met receptor. HGF is secreted by mesenchymal cells and acts as a multi-functional cytokine on cells of mainly epithelial origin. Its ability to stimulate mitogenesis, cell motility, and matrix invasion gives it a central role in angiogenesis, tumorogenesis, and tissue regeneration.

SARS-CoV-2 XBB.1.16 (Omicron) Spike S1+S2 trimer Protein (ECD, His)
TMPY-06885
The spike (S) glycoprotein of coronaviruses contains protrusions that will only bind to certain receptors on the host cell. Known receptors bind S1 are ACE2, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2; DPP4, dipeptidyl peptidase-4; APN, aminopeptidase N; CEACAM, carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1; Sia, sialic acid; O-ac Sia, O-acetylated sialic acid. The spike is essential for both host specificity and viral infectivity. The term 'peplomer' is typically used to refer to a grouping of heterologous proteins on the virus surface that function together. The spike (S) glycoprotein of coronaviruses is known to be essential in the binding of the virus to the host cell at the advent of the infection process. It's been reported that SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 coronavirus, 2019-nCoV) can infect the human respiratory epithelial cells through interaction with the human ACE2 receptor. The spike protein is a large type I transmembrane protein containing two subunits, S1 and S2. S1 mainly contains a receptor binding domain (RBD), which is responsible for recognizing the cell surface receptor. S2 contains basic elements needed for the membrane fusion. The S protein plays key parts in the induction of neutralizing-antibody and T-cell responses, as well as protective immunity. The main functions for the Spike protein are summarized as: Mediate receptor binding and membrane fusion; Defines the range of the hosts and specificity of the virus; Main component to bind with the neutralizing antibody; Key target for vaccine design; Can be transmitted between different hosts through gene recombination or mutation of the receptor binding domain (RBD), leading to a higher mortality rate.

BSSP-4 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPJ-01320
Brain-Specific Serine Protease 4 (BSSP-4) is a serine protease that preferentially cleaves the synthetic substrate H-D-Leu-Thr-Arg-pNA compared to tosyl-Gly-Pro-Arg-pNA. BSSP-4 is expressed abundantly in the epithelial cells of the airways, including trachea, esophagus and fetal lung, but scarce in adult lung and expressed at low levels in placenta, pancreas, prostate and thyroid gland. BSSP-4 belongs to the peptidase S1 family and related to trypsin, referentially hydrolyzing substrates after arginine and lysine residues. However, BSSP-4 is less susceptible to inhibition by common trypsin inhibitors such as aprotinin, α1-antitrypsin and secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor. BSSP-4 efficiently converts pro-urokinase- type plasminogen activator to its mature, active form.

ABHD4 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-01460
Abhydrolase domain containing 4 (ABHD4), also known as alpha/beta-hydrolase 4 (ABH4) , or lyso-N-acylphosphatidylethanolamine lipase, which belongs to the ABHD4/ABHD5 subfamily of peptidase S33 family. Abhydrolase domain containing (ABHD) gene was a small group belongs to alpha/beta hydrolase superfamily. Known members of this group are all found to be involved in important biochemical processes and related to various diseases. The alpha/beta-hydrolase 4 (ABH4) is a lysophospholipase/phospholipase B that selectively hydrolyzes N-acyl phosphatidylethanolamines (NAPEs) and lysoNAPEs. ABH4 accepts lysoNAPEs bearing both saturated and polyunsaturated N-acyl chains as substrates and displays a distribution that closely mirrors lysoNAPE-lipase activity in mouse tissues. The existence of an NAPE-PLD-independent route for NAE biosynthesis and suggest that ABH4 plays a role in this metabolic pathway by acting as a (lyso)NAPE-selective lipase.

MMP-19 Protein, Human, Recombinant
TMPY-02965
MMP19, also known as RASI-1, is a member of the peptidase M1A family. It contains 4 hemopexin-like domains and is expressed in the mammary gland, placenta, lung, pancreas, ovary, small intestine, spleen, thymus, prostate, testis colon, heart, and blood vessel walls. It is a matrix metalloproteinase (MMP). Proteins of the MMP family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. MMP19 may play a role in pathological processes participating in rheumatoid arthritis (RA)-associated joint tissue destruction. Autoantigen anti-MMP19 is frequent in RA patients.

Kallikrein 13/KLK13 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-00867
Tissue kallikrein 13 (hK13), also known as KLK-L4 (kallikrein-like gene 4), is a member of the human tissue kallikrein family of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions in many tissues. The KLK13 gene resides on chromosome 19q13.3-4 along with other 14 members in a gene cluster and shares a high degree of homology. KLK13 is a trypsin-like, secreted serine protease expressed specifically in the testicular tissue including prostate, salivary gland, breast, and testis. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may play a role in metastasis. KLK13 may be involved in the pathogenesis and/or progression of breast and ovary cancers and is regarded as a novel cancer biomarker. Besides, KLK13 interacts and forms complexes with several serum protease inhibitors, such as alpha2-macroglobulin, and its expression is regulated by steroid hormones.

MMP-12 Protein, Human, Recombinant (catalytic domain)
TMPY-02869
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a family of zinc-dependent endopeptidases that degrade components of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and play essential roles in various physiological processes such as morphogenesis, differentiation, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling, as well as pathological processes including inflammation, arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary diseases, and tumor invasion. Macrophage Metalloelastase, also known as Matrix metalloproteinase-12, Macrophage elastase, MMP12, and MMP-12, is a secreted protein that belongs to the peptidase M1A family. MMP12 is a macrophage-secreted elastase that is highly induced in the liver and lung in response to S. mansoni eggs and contains four hemopexin-like domains. MMP12 is a proteolytic enzyme responsible for the cleavage of plasminogen to angiotensin, which has an angiostatic effect. It may be involved in tissue injury and remodeling and has significant elastolytic activity. It may be related to prognosis in breast cancer patients. MMP12 promotes fibrosis by limiting the expression of specific ECM-degrading MMPs. Like MMP12, MMP13 expression is highly dependent on IL-13 and type I I-IL-4 receptor signaling. MMP12 is a potent proinflammatory and oncogenic molecule. MMP12 up-regulation plays a critical role in emphysema to lung cancer transition that is facilitated by inflammation.
