Buxaceae

The Buxaceae are a small family of six genera and about 123 known species of flowering plants. The plants of the family Buxaceae are widely used in traditional medicine and constitute rich sources of terpenoidal alkaloids with biological activities such as cholinesterase inhibition, as well as antibacterial and antileishmanial activities.
