Ulmaceae

Ulmaceae is a family of flowering plants that includes the elms (genus Ulmus), and the zelkovas (genus Zelkova). It generally is considered to include ca 7 genera and about 45 species. Ulmus davidiana Planch (Ulmaceae) extract (UD) has long been known to have anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities. UD has been also known to have protective effects on damaged tissue, inflammation, and bone among other functions.
