Loranthaceae is a family of flowering plants, consisting of about 75 genera and 1,000 species of woody plants, many of them hemiparasites. Ligaria cuneifolia (R. et P.) Tiegh. (Loranthaceae) is a South American hemiparasitic species with antioxidant, antitumoral, antimicrobial, and antilipidemic activities attributed to its polyphenolic content.
