PPAR gamma/PPARG Protein, Human, Recombinant (His & GST)
TMPY-02575
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG), a nuclear hormone receptor, plays a critical role in the lipid and glucose homeostasis, adipocyte differentiation, as well as intracellular insulin-signaling events. The peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma) regulates osteoblast and osteoclast differentiation, and is the molecular target of thiazolidinediones (TZDs), insulin sensitizers that enhance glucose utilization and adipocyte differentiation. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG) is a transcription factor involved in atherosclerosis and related diseases. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG) plays an important role in the pathogenesis and maintenance of essential hypertension (EH).The functional single nucleotide polymorphisms in peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG) gene were predicted to be correlated with the susceptibility of colorectal cancer (CRC).

PPAR gamma Protein, Xenopus laevis, Recombinant (His)
TMPH-03711
Receptor that binds peroxisome proliferators such as hypolipidemic drugs and fatty acids. Once activated by a ligand, the receptor binds to a promoter element in the gene for acyl-CoA oxidase and activates its transcription. It therefore controls the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway of fatty acids. Key regulator of adipocyte differentiation and glucose homeostasis. May play a role in the regulation of circadian rhythm.

PEX19 Protein, Human, Recombinant (GST)
TMPH-01855
Necessary for early peroxisomal biogenesis. Acts both as a cytosolic chaperone and as an import receptor for peroxisomal membrane proteins (PMPs). Binds and stabilizes newly synthesized PMPs in the cytoplasm by interacting with their hydrophobic membrane-spanning domains, and targets them to the peroxisome membrane by binding to the integral membrane protein PEX3. Excludes CDKN2A from the nucleus and prevents its interaction with MDM2, which results in active degradation of TP53. PEX19 Protein, Human, Recombinant (GST) is expressed in E. coli expression system with N-GST tag. The predicted molecular weight is 59.3 kDa and the accession number is P40855.

Catalase/CAT Protein, Human, Recombinant
TMPJ-00764
Catalase (CAT) is a member of the catalase family. It exists as a homotetramer that occurs in almost all aerobically respiring organisms and serves to protect cells from the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide. Catalase is localized in the peroxisome. Catalase promotes growth of cells including T-cells, B-cells, myeloid leukemia cells, melanoma cells, mastocytoma cells, and normal and transformed fibroblast cells. Defects in CAT are the cause of acatalasemia which is characterized by absence of catalase activity in red cells and is associated with ulcerating oral lesions.

ASXL1 Protein, Human, Recombinant (GST)
TMPJ-01213
Putative Polycomb group protein ASXL1 involved in transcriptional regulation mediated by ligand-bound nuclear hormone receptors, such as retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG). It acts as coactivator of RARA and RXRA through association with NCOA1. ASXL1 also acts as corepressor through recruitment of KDM1A and CBX5 to target genes in a cell-type specific manner; the function seems to involve differential recruitment of methylated histone H3 to respective promoters.

ACOX1 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-02481
Peroxisomal acyl-coenzyme A oxidase 1(ACOX1 or AOX) is the first enzyme of the fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway and belongs to the Acyl-CoA oxidase family. Human liver peroxisomes contain two acyl-CoA oxidases, namely, palmitoyl-CoA oxidase (ACOX1/AOX) and a branched chain acyl-CoA oxidase. The palmitoyl-CoA oxidase (ACOX1/AOX) oxidizes the CoA esters of straight chain fatty acids and prostaglandins and donates electrons directly to molecular oxygen, thereby producing H2O2. Human ACOX1/AOX is a protein of 661-amino acids, including the carboxyl-terminal sequence(Ser-Lys-Leu) known as a minimal peroxisome-targeting signal. Human ACOX1/AOX, the first and rate-limiting enzyme of the peroxisomal β-oxidation pathway, has two isoforms including ACOX1a and ACOX1b, transcribed from a single gene. The human ACOX1b isoform is more effective than the ACOX1a isoform in reversing the Acox1 null phenotype in the mouse partly because of the Substrate utilization differences.

ECH1 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-03464
ECH1 is a member of the hydratase/isomerase superfamily. ECH1 shows high sequence similarity to enoyl-CoA hydratases of several species, particularly within a conserved domain characteristic of these proteins. ECH1 contains a C-terminal peroxisomal targeting sequence and localizes to peroxisomes. The rat ortholog, which localizes to the matrix of both the peroxisome and mitochondria, can isomerize 3-trans, 5-cis-dienoyl-CoA to 2-trans,4-trans-dienoyl-CoA, indicating that it is a delta3,5-delta2,4-dienoyl-CoA isomerase. ECH1 functions in the auxiliary step of the fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway. Expression of the rat gene is induced by peroxisome proliferators.

CARHSP1 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
TMPY-03499
CARHSP1 is a biomarker for diabetic complications. Adenovirus-mediated CARHSP1 overexpression and siRNA-mediated knockdown experiments were performed to characterize the role of CARHSP1 in the regulation of gluconeogenic gene expression. CARHSP1 is regulated by nutrient status in the liver and functions at the transcriptional level to negatively regulate gluconeogenic genes, including the glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit (G6Pc) and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1 (PEPCK1). In addition, it is found that CARHSP1 can physically interact with peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-α (PPARα) and inhibit its transcriptional activity. Both pharmacological and genetic ablations of PPARα attenuate the inhibitory effect of CARHSP1 on gluconeogenic gene expression in hepatocytes.

GSTK1 Protein, Human, Recombinant
TMPY-03450
GSTK1 gene encodes a member of the kappa class of the glutathione transferase superfamily of enzymes that function in cellular detoxification. Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) are a family of enzymes that catalyze a variety of reactions in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes. They catalyze the conjugation of reduced glutathione with potentially toxic, xenobiotic substrates, thus aiding excretion from the body. GSTK1(glutathione S-transferase kappa 1) is localized to the peroxisome and catalyzes the conjugation of glutathione to a wide range of hydrophobic substates facilitating the removal of these compounds from cells. GSTK1 functions in cellular detoxification.
